Funding options for both full- and part-time students
Funding for both full- and part-time Canadian students is available through the Canada Student Financial Assistance Program. Funding for higher education can be found in grants and loans.
Fill out a single application with your home province to apply for all available grants and loans.
Grants do not require repayment,
student loans must be repaid in full (plus interest) upon graduation.
It is possible to receive multiple types of grants; the province to which you are applying will determine your eligibility for all grants
The question is, how much can you get?
Several variables will determine how much you’ll be eligible to receive, including:
the province or territory in which you currently reside the total household income
Your own tuition and living costs,
plus those of your dependents,
To the extent that you have a disability
When you fill out an application, your state or local government will determine how much you are eligible to receive in grants and loans.
Use the federal student aid estimator to determine if you are eligible for Canada Student Grants or Loans. Be aware that the provincial and territorial student grants and loans are not accounted for in this estimator.
