Gaining Purdue University Scholarship might be quite difficult for you if you don't know what is involved to gain the admission.

If as a prospective or current student, you feel that your experience with a distance learning course or program from Purdue has not lived up to those standards, you may register a complaint.

As a distant student you can also submit a complaint regarding a Purdue course in the state where you are residing as you take the course.

How to get Purdue Funded Scholarship

For those students with enough aid to pay for tuition, fees and campus housing — if you live on campus — the earliest you should expect a financial aid refund for the semester is a 10 days before classes begin. The timing of the excess aid disbursement also depends on several other factors:

Check Aid Status: Several factors prevent aid from crediting your bill, and can ultimately delay your refund. Look for the following on your account and take the required action to resolve the issue.

• Holds for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) if the current semester’s status was a warning or probation, or other holds.
• Your course enrollment could be less than the required number of credit hours for aid eligibility:
  • For undergraduates: full-time = 12+ credits; three-quarter-time = 9-11 credits; half-time = 6-8 credits; less than half-time = 1-5 hours.
  • For graduates: full-time = 8+ credits; half-time = 4-7 credits; less than half-time = 1-3 credits.
• You could have outstanding requirements on loans or aid, such as promissory notes (Direct Loans, Purdue Loans, loan entrance counseling, or verification.

Pay Bill: Common options include student, parent or private loans. For balances that are not covered by financial aid (including loans), the Bursar’s Office also offers the Installment Plan through myPurdue, which breaks the remaining balance for the semester into monthly payments.

Confirm Enrollment: Make sure you have done this before the start of each semester through myPurdue. You will only be able to confirm enrollment if the semester bill is paid in full, or the first installment has been paid under the installment plan. View instructions for confirming enrollment.

Make Sure Your Private Funds Were Sent: Funds from private scholarships or other awards should be sent by the donor to the Bursar's Office. The funds are credited to the student's University account and disbursed in the same way as Purdue scholarships or grants. Private awards are not credited prior to receipt of funds from the donor.

Requirements To Gain Purdue University Scholarship

• Continuous full-time enrollment each semester (minimum of 12 or more credit hours), excluding summer.
• Remain in the disciplinary college or school to which you were originally admitted until the end of the third week of the fall semester.
• Achieve a minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA. GPA is checked annually at the end of each spring semester.  If your GPA is below a 3.0 at the end of the spring term and you enroll in summer courses to increase your GPA, it will be checked again at the end of the summer term.

You will have up to four years (8 semesters) of eligibility while pursuing your first undergraduate degree. Participating in a Purdue approved co-op or internship will not count against semester usage or credit hour requirements. Students in co-op or internship will not receive the scholarship while away.

Please note that if residency status changes, scholarship amounts will be adjusted accordingly to reflect that change.
